Call for Artists


The Escape Artists invites you to participate in our annual holiday exhibit, The Big Little Art Show. This show exhibits artwork priced to sell at $100.00 or less, perfect for holiday gifts for family and friends. Drop off dates are December 2 – December 6

Craft and Jewelry Artisans interested in exhibiting are being offered a separate one day Vendors Market opportunity.
Submission Fees are $10 per piece, $25 for 3 pieces + a box of prints, or $50 per 6 pieces + a box of prints. Artists provides their own box for prints, and prints must be clearly labeled and priced.
All 2-D art must be ready to hang and must not exceed 18”x24” including the frame.
3-D art must not exceed 1 foot in any direction, and 10 pounds
Artists retain 80% of the sales.
At time of drop off, all artwork must be clearly labeled with Artists name, Title, and Price.
Drop off dates are Friday, December 2nd through Tuesday December 6th, from 4-7pm each day.
Show Opening Reception Date is Friday, December 16th, 7-10pm
Art pick up dates are 4-7pm.

Vendors are invited to “set up shop” for a one day market held inside our gallery on Saturday, December 17th from 12pm-5pm. Space is limited so apply ASAP!
6’x4’ Space Fee- $25 (Vendor will provide their own table and displays, which must not exceed your space provided.)
Vendor set up will start at 10am, all vendors must be in place, present, and ready to sell by 12pm, and cannot breakdown before 5pm.

The Escape Artists is calling all artists to submit their work for our annual “Bloom” show, which is a show inspired by flowers and nature and all things Spring. The opening night for the show falls right on the 1st day of Mount Vernon annual Flower Mart. We hope to bring a lot of people attending it to our gallery.
Submission guidelines as follows.
Submission fees: $10 per each piece or $50 for 6 pieces. (cash, credit or check)
6 pieces maximum
18×24 max size for 2D pieces
All 2D pieces must be framed and ready to hang, unless on canvas
6Ft tall for 3D pieces, must fit through the door. (must be delivered by artist, weight not to exeed 30lb)
All though the theme is open to interpretation, we reserve the right to turn away artwork if we do not find it fit for the show or if we do not have space.
Comission: The gallery retains 20% of all sales, the artist retains 80% of all sales. (please factor this into your price).
All pieces must be dropped off at the gallery on the submission dates. Please write the name of the piece and the artist name on the back on a postet or piece of paper with tape. We will have application forms available at the gallery.

We are also currently accepting members and are always looking for performers. Our space is also available for rent for events and art and other type of classes. Contact us with any questions or suggestions.
